Exam season is upon us and we want to make sure you absolutely smash it!
That's why we have put together a handy list of things you should and shouldn't do before your exams to make sure you have the best mindset possible and 100% concentration.
Everyone works differently and you might think you've got this BUT have you really considered everything?
- DO have a filling & healthy breakfast
You might wake up thinking, "I'd LOVE a full English breakfast" but we wouldn't recommend this just before an exam! A lighter option like cereal, a bagel or porridge with fruit will give you enough energy without making you feel too lethargic.

- DO wear something comfortable
Imagine sitting in an exam hall for over two hours in tight, uncomfortable clothes? Throw on a hoodie and your comfiest jeans and you'll feel loads better. Plus, you won't waste time thinking about anything apart from your answers.
- DO some exercise in the morning
Whether you love it or hate it, exercise is good for the brain. This doesn't mean running a 10k the night before, in fact, we'd recommend quite the opposite. Do a small home workout or yoga that will wake you up without tiring you out too much.

- DO go to the loo just before
Sorry to sound like your parents but do you really want to be busting for the loo and in the middle of answering a 25-mark question? Go just before so you don't have to break off and ask the invigilator to accompany you - awks!
- DON'T eat a curry the night before
Let's just say that this follows the previous point for a reason. Make sure you don't re-enact that Will from Inbetweeners moment because, well, it would be pretty disgusting! Just be careful to not eat anything that could upset your stomach.
- DON'T stay up all night/have a late night
You might think you're better off cramming in 5 hours of revision the night before BUT that's not effective. Have a chilled evening the night before and aim for about 8 hours of sleep and you'll wake up refreshed! Let your flatmates know you've got an exam so they won't wake you up at 3am - hopefully.
- DON'T rush around in the morning
Wake up in good time and then you can eat a nice breakfast, fit in a workout and make your way to the exam room. There's nothing worse than rushing around and getting yourself in a flap.
